De volgende editie van Rock Herk aan het Olmenhof in Herk-de-Stad op 13 en 14 juli 2012 wordt vanaf dit jaar betalend.
Een dagticket kost 20 euro, een combi 32 euro.
Het gratis Rock Herk is zo verleden tijd, aangezien de kost om het festival hoogkwalitatief te houden oplopen, zodat er inkom moet betaald worden.
Voorts wordt om veiligheidsredenen het aantal festivalgangers per dag beperkt tot 12.000, in vergelijking tot de 17.000 vorig jaar.
Zo sneuvelt er opnieuw een gratis festival voor alternatieve muziek.
